The harvest season is gradually coming to an end in Ukraine. Odessa, Mykolaiv, and Zaporizhia have already completed their harvest. As of the third week of November, farmers have threshed 75.7 million tons of cereals and oilseeds.
The harvesting of cereals and legumes was carried out on an area of 10,237 thousand hectares, producing 55 million 53 thousand tons with a yield of 53.8 centners per hectare, including:
Wheat was threshed on 4,694.5 thousand hectares, yielding 22,478 thousand tons (yield – 47.9 centners per hectare);
Corn was threshed on 3,325 thousand hectares, yielding 24,878 thousand tons (yield – 74.8 centners per hectare);
Barley was threshed on 1,504.5 thousand hectares, yielding 5,909 thousand tons (yield – 39.3 centners per hectare);
Peas were threshed on 154.4 thousand hectares, yielding 399.5 thousand tons (yield – 25.9 centners per hectare);
Buckwheat was threshed on 139.7 thousand hectares, yielding 207.4 thousand tons (yield – 14.8 centners per hectare);
Millet was threshed on 79.5 thousand hectares, yielding 180 thousand tons (yield – 22.6 centners per hectare);
Other cereals and legumes were threshed on 339.9 thousand hectares, yielding 1,002 thousand tons.
The harvesting of oilseeds was carried out on an area of 8,205.8 thousand hectares, producing 20,703 thousand tons, namely:
Sunflower was threshed on an area of 5,009.4 thousand hectares, yielding 11,929 thousand tons of seeds with a yield of 23.8 centners per hectare;
Soybeans were threshed on an area of 1,800.4 thousand hectares, yielding 4,769 thousand tons with a yield of 26.5 centners per hectare;
Rapeseed harvesting is complete, with 1,396 thousand hectares threshed and 4,005 thousand tons of seeds produced with a yield of 28.7 centners per hectare.
The sugar beet harvest is almost complete, with 236.3 thousand hectares dug up, yielding 11,083 thousand tons of sweet roots at a yield of 469.1 centners per hectare.
