Despite Russia’s brutal aggression, Ukraine continued to be the
WFP biggest supplier in 2022. More than half of global wheat procurement for operations in Afghanistan, Yemen, Somalia, Ethiopia or Kenya came from Ukraine.
The EU will spare no effort to support stable delivery.
Through the EU-Ukraine solidarity lanes over 53 million tons of Ukrainian grain and other food stuff have been exported. We will continue strengthen and expanding them to provide Ukraine with a viable alternative for export and the world with food.- Josep Borrell Fontelles
