In the first 15 days of October, Ukraine exported approximately 597 thousand tons of wheat, which is 6% less than in the first half of September but exceeds the export figures for August 1-15 by 9%.
It is noted that Spain is the main importer of Ukrainian wheat in October 2023, receiving over 44% of all shipments during the reporting period. In addition, significant volumes of grain were shipped to Egypt (12% of total exports) and Vietnam (10%).
At the same time, there is an increase in the volumes of railway deliveries. In the reporting period, the share of wheat supplies by this mode of transport constituted 22% of the total export volume, compared to 17% for the first half of September and 10% for the first half of August.
Thus, the relative indicator of grain supplies by rail transport has reached its maximum since May 2022.
